If You’ve Been Trying To Become Enlightened…

Are you searching for the elusive and coveted state of existence called:

Enlightenment?

HA! The whole achieving “Enlightenment” thing has messed up more people than a Rubik’s cube with the stickers in the wrong place!

I recently had a friend go through some training and he said he came back an “enlightened person”.

As we talked more about it and I told him my positio,n he said I was partly there but missing the enlightened part.

Now there have been times in my life when I have felt what I think enlightenment should feel like.

Very “at peace” with everything and everyone around me.

Nothing could possibly bother me.

Every time I’ve felt that way in the past it’s always after I have learned something or expanded my own awareness of what’s possible.

But here’s the very interesting thing…

It always goes away!

Which leads me to believe that enlightenment follows the same rules as everything else…

It’s energy that ebbs and flows.

It comes and goes.

But it only comes AFTER you do something to acquire new wisdom or understanding that enables you to have a very clear perception of your life in that area.

In other words, you must always continue to learn and grow, to experience enlightenment.

Enlightenment is simply acquiring new wisdom and understandings that enhance or expand your awareness giving you a broader perspective.

So let’s get out of the Zen mode and into the street mode…

Let’s break this down so it can apply in your life.

You have a desire to get some more X in your life.

You learn and acquire knowledge about X.

That knowledge marinates in your dome and links to your personal life experience.

It transforms into wisdom (The Ah HA! moments)

You feel great!

And Viola! You’ve achieved enlightenment.

But it aint gonna last forever…

So enjoy it, soak it up, experience the feeling of feeling great. You’re entitled and supposed to take time to reflect in those moments.

Then…

Once you’ve caught up to yourself, you’ll continue on your journey naturally to the next thing that enlightens you.

Becoming enlightened is an ever-expanding experience, not a final destination.

You’ve seen that “rest stop” of enlightenment many times in your life and you’ll see it many more times throughout your journey.

If you’ve been trying to become enlightened, then stop!

You already have been and will be again…

Trying to find this permanent place of enlightenment is like trying to only exhale and never inhale…

Good luck with that! ;o)
